After reading all 5 previous books in this series I couldn't wait to get to this one. Fiona has been a major character throughout the whole series helping each of her girls find happiness in their lives and with their own powers.We finally get to hear all of Fiona's story in this book and ladies get the kleenex boxes ready. Not once, but three times for me. Some parts were just so sad when you find out about Fiona's life. There is great hope though too with the way she has lived her life after her tragedy. She is finally able to really reconnect with her daughter, Margaret.I don't want to spoil the ending of this story because you really have to read it yourselves. The book just wouldn't be the same knowing how this ends, but know that Fiona does get a happy ending in her own way....I'm glad Ms. O'Malley wrote Fiona's story, but I wish it didn't have to end! She started a new series where these characters have brief roles, but after the teasers of little Grace I want to see all the mischief she brings growing up!I really am sorry this is the last book as I got so attached to all of these characters! I love all things Celtic no matter Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. Having lived in the UK many years and spent time in Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland (N and S) as well as work there at times, I love the stories and had been reading about the interesting Pirate Queen for different reasons when my Mum said she wanted to read these books. I ordered them for her and took a peek at the first one. I was hooked. The story line and the characters draw you in and you want to know more as you feel the angst of the characters and their love and magic. For me, I find myself lost in the stories and can visualize the places as Tricia describes them so vividly. I have read every book in this series and the followup series. I will not say more as I feel you need to dive in and read them yourself. No spoilers here. Enjoy and Bright Blessings.
